Clinical Deputy Manager – Druid Stoke Care Home (Bristol)

Position: Clinical Deputy Manager

Location: Druid Stoke Care Home, 31 Druid Stoke Avenue, Bristol, BS9 1DE

Salary: Up to £54,000 per annum (dependent on experience) + £2,000 Welcome Bonus*

Contract Type: Permanent | Full-Time (40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with occasional night visits or weekend work as required)

The Role

As a Clinical Deputy Manager, you will oversee and assist all aspects of nursing care and clinical activities within the home, drawing on your expertise to provide day-to-day guidance, maintain optimal staffing rotas, and foster a strong sense of community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and support all clinical nursing care and activities within the home.

• Create and update individual care plans with your team, maintaining clear, accurate, and up-to-date medication and medical records.

• Manage rotas efficiently to ensure safe, adequate staffing levels are maintained at all times.

• Provide day-to-day clinical guidance, leadership, and mentorship to the team, promoting resident independence, choice, and dignity.

• Build lasting relationships with residents, families, and external partners (such as GPs and District Nurses) to raise the home's profile locally.

What We Are Looking For

• A Registered Nurse with a valid NMC pin and a genuine commitment to adhering to the NMC Codes of Conduct and professional development.

• Up-to-date knowledge of tissue viability, infection control, and care planning.

• Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to delegate effectively, communicate honestly, and mentor multidisciplinary care teams.

• Excellent time management and prioritisation skills, combined with a compassionate, respectful approach.
