About the Role
We are acting on behalf of Partnering Health Ltd (PHL Group)—an innovative, multi-award-winning healthcare provider holding the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme Silver Award and Veteran Aware accreditation—to recruit experienced Advanced Clinical Practitioners (ACPs) and Advanced Nurse Practitioners (ANPs).
In this vital role within our Urgent Treatment Centres and primary care settings, you will act as an autonomous practitioner using your advanced clinical skills and professional judgment. You will assess, diagnose, treat, refer, or discharge patients, enhancing the capacity and capability of our multidisciplinary teams while delivering compassionate, evidence-based care.
Key Responsibilities
1. Advanced Clinical Practice & Consultations
Undertake face-to-face clinical consultations, taking comprehensive patient histories and performing physical examinations.
Exercise a high degree of personal and professional autonomy to diagnose and treat patients, utilizing independent/supplementary prescribing and referral pathways as appropriate.
Assess and manage immediate risk, including the identification of emergency care needs and safeguarding referrals for vulnerable adults and children.
2. Leadership & Multidisciplinary Collaboration
Provide clinical advice, mentorship, and support to junior clinical and non-clinical staff.
Collaborate seamlessly with multidisciplinary and multi-agency teams across primary and secondary care.
Maintain accurate, contemporaneous clinical records and participate in clinical audits, quality monitoring, and service improvement activities.
Person Specification
Essential Criteria
Professional Registration: First-level Registered Nurse, Paramedic, or Pharmacist with current, unrestricted UK professional registration.
Qualifications: Masters Degree in Advanced Clinical Practice (or equivalent), degree-level clinical skills qualification, and independent/supplementary prescriber status. Evidence of study in minor illness, minor injury, paediatric minor illness, and paediatric minor injury (or a willingness to develop these skills).
Experience: Minimum of 5 years post-registration experience, including at least 2 years working as a practitioner in a primary care environment, Emergency Department, Urgent Care Centre, or first-contact setting.
Vetting Requirements: Must successfully pass an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
Desirable Criteria
Evidence of study to conduct paediatric clinical examination.
Formal teaching or mentoring qualifications (such as ENB 998 or equivalent).
