Location: Derham House Care Home, Harwood Hall Lane, Upminster, Essex, RM14 2YP (Covering 7 services across Essex and East London; home-based with regional travel)
Salary: £34,000.00 per annum + Car Allowance
Hours: 40.00 hours per week (Permanent, Days)

As an Operational Trainer, you will be the initial point of contact for new team members across approximately 5 to 7 homes and hospitals, delivering high-quality induction and development training to ensure staff are confident, competent, and compassionate.
Your core responsibilities will include:
Training Delivery: Coordinating and delivering hands-on induction and development training aligned with Barchester's core objectives.
Staff Support & Mentorship: Maintaining regular contact with new starters, observing workplace practice, coaching, and supporting individual personal development plans in collaboration with Home Managers.
Administration & Planning: Planning and publishing training calendars, maintaining up-to-date employee training files, and organizing induction paperwork.
Promotion: Actively promoting learning and development opportunities and representing Barchester at external meetings and conferences.
Qualifications: City & Guilds 7300 (or equivalent training qualification) alongside a Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care (or equivalent sector experience).
Experience: At least 2 years of dedicated training experience with a solid working knowledge of care sector legislative requirements.
Driving Requirement: A full, clean UK driving licence is strictly required due to regional travel across Essex and East London.
Personality: Passionate, engaging, and equipped with stellar coaching and people skills.
