About the Role
We are recruiting a dedicated Charge Nurse on a permanent basis on behalf of Cefn Carnau in South Wales—a low secure and rehabilitation service for adults with a primary diagnosis of a learning disability, who may also present with mental illness, personality disorders, and autistic spectrum conditions.
Working alongside a multidisciplinary team, you will oversee and coordinate clinical services, manage staff scheduling, delegate nursing tasks, and ensure the smooth, positive day-to-day running of the department. You will also monitor service user conditions, make critical resource and assignment decisions, and provide guidance and mentorship to junior nursing staff.
What You Will Need
Qualifications & Registration: A relevant nursing qualification alongside a current, active NMC registration.
Experience: Proven post-qualification experience in a similar low secure, rehabilitation, or mental health environment, backed by a strong track record of leadership skills.
Attributes: A positive, caring, and compassionate attitude, excellent communication skills, and a steadfast commitment to high-quality, evidence-based care.
Proximity & Availability: Living within a manageable commute of Thornhill, Caerphilly (CF83 1LX).
