We are currently recruiting a dedicated Transport and Inventory Operative to join our Asylum Accommodation and Support Services (AASC) team across the Northwest region.
In this fast-paced, field-based role, you will help deliver essential transport and logistics operations. From transporting service users and household goods to maintaining vehicle safety standards and accurate inventory records, your work directly supports individuals and families across the community.
As a Transport and Inventory Operative, your responsibilities will include:
Driving & Transport: Safely drive company vehicles to transport service users, dependent children, furniture, household goods, and other items across the region.
Vehicle Compliance: Conduct routine vehicle inspections, arrange servicing and MOT appointments, and promptly report any defects.
Logistics & Administration: Complete accurate journey documentation and use internal IT systems for reporting and daily tasks.
Health & Safety: Conduct dynamic risk assessments, adhere strictly to UK driving regulations, and support emergency or contingency response activities when required.
Communication: Maintain clear, effective communication with operational teams, stakeholders, and external agencies.
Licence: A full UK Category B driving licence is essential.
Driving Knowledge: A strong understanding of UK driving regulations and safe driving practices.
Core Competencies: Excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to prioritise workloads in a fast-moving environment.
IT Literacy: Comfortable using Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and other internal IT systems.
Personal Attributes: Organised, reliable, and deeply committed to delivering high service standards with care and professionalism.
This role requires Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance (verifying identity, employment history, nationality, and criminal record). Depending on specific requirements, additional formal Security Clearance may be needed. Candidates will also complete an Occupational Health Questionnaire.
Competitive Pay: £27,750 per annum.
