Supportive Bridge Staffing & Recruitment is seeking a highly motivated and empathetic Healthcare Assistant to join the theatre team at a leading private hospital in the West End of Glasgow, UK. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting the theatre staff and ensuring a high-quality, comforting experience for patients undergoing major and minor surgeries.
Working on a flexible bank contract basis, you will support theatre operations on an ad-hoc schedule tailored to suit facility requirements and your personal availability, including potential weekend shifts. Operating within a fast-paced and rapidly changing clinical environment, you will assist with theatre preparation, patient movement, and administrative tasks while offering vital reassurance to patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities
Support the multidisciplinary theatre team by assisting with theatre preparation, patient transfers, and essential administrative duties.
Provide personalized care, empathy, and reassurance to patients and their families before, during, and after surgical procedures.
Adapt flexibly to the rapidly changing demands of a fast-paced operating theatre to ensure smooth and safe clinical operations.
Requirements
NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent healthcare qualification).
Proven healthcare assistant experience within an acute hospital or clinical care setting.
Excellent communication skills, strong empathy, and a flexible, highly motivated approach to your duties and hours.
