Job Title: Senior Care Assistant - Days
Location: Richmond Villages Cheltenham, Hatherley Lane, Gloucestershire, GL51 6PN
Pay Rate: £14.25 per hour (+ Paid Breaks)

Contract Type: Permanent, Full Time (36 hours per week, working 3 x 12-hour shifts from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM)
As a Senior Care Assistant, you will bridge the gap between nursing staff and residents, taking day-to-day responsibility for running a unit. You will play a crucial leadership role, ensuring residents receive top-tier, person-centred care while maintaining their health, dignity, and comfort.
Unit Leadership: Take day-to-day responsibility for running a unit, managing and driving a team of Care Assistants, and conducting effective shift handovers.
Clinical Support: Assist the nursing team with clinical duties, including observing residents, administering medication, monitoring vital signs, and updating digital care plans.
Mentorship: Help with the onboarding, training, and supervision of new staff members so they feel fully welcomed and supported.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Build strong, trusting relationships with residents, their families, and external healthcare professionals like GPs and District Nurses.
Personal Care: Assist residents with a range of dignified personal care duties in alignment with their individual care plans.

Qualifications: An NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent).
Experience: Proven background within a care home or healthcare setting, showing readiness to take on supervisory responsibilities.
