We are currently seeking dedicated Swim Teachers to join the team at Soar Valley Leisure Centre and help make a positive difference every single day.
Using the tried-and-tested Swim England learn-to-swim framework, you will deliver safe, fun, and progressive lessons that build water confidence in swimmers of all ages—helping them learn an essential life skill that promotes healthier, happier lives across the local community.
What You’ll Do
Lesson Delivery: Plan and deliver engaging, fun, and progressive swimming lessons following the Swim England framework.
Community Engagement: Build a welcoming environment, utilizing excellent interpersonal skills to support swimmers of all ages and backgrounds.
Skill Development: Help students progress safely, with many learners advancing to competitive swimming and beyond.
Flexible Working: Fit your teaching hours around your current commitments with fully adaptable contracts tailored to your schedule.
What We Are Looking For
Qualifications: Must hold either a STA Award/Certificate in Teaching Swimming or a Swim England (ASA) Level 2 qualification.
Safety Qualifications: Holding a valid RLSS UK NPLQ, NRASTC, or STA Safety Award for Teachers is advantageous, but free training can be provided if needed.
Customer Focus: Friendly, approachable, customer-oriented, and passionate about teaching and community health.
Vetting: A DBS check will be required for this role (provided free of charge).
