Support Bridge Staffing Agency is proud to partner with essential environmental and waste management service teams to connect qualified drivers with vital community roles. We are currently recruiting a dedicated Refuse and Recycling HGV Driver to provide a complete waste collection service on behalf of residents and businesses in Charnwood.
In this public-facing role, you will lead a friendly, professional team of loaders to keep local streets, homes, and businesses clean, safe, and tidy while delivering exceptional customer service to the community.
What You’ll Do
Route Operations: Navigate pre-planned collection routes safely as the driver, working closely with your loader team to collect waste and recycling from residential and commercial properties.
Vehicle Safety Checks: Complete thorough daily pre-use vehicle safety checks, ensuring your truck is fully clean, compliant, and ready before heading out on rounds.
Community Representation: Act as a dependable public face of the environmental services team, maintaining a professional and courteous approach with the public.
Target Delivery: Support your team in hitting daily performance targets while going the extra mile to maintain high local standards.
What We Are Looking For
Licence Requirements: Hold a valid Class 1 or Class 2 driving licence alongside a valid Driver CPC.
Personal Qualities: Dedicated, enthusiastic, physically fit and healthy (due to the active nature of the role), and customer-service focused.
Team Player: A reliable team player who is willing to roll up their sleeves and support colleagues to achieve shared objectives.

Competitive Pay: £33,802.13 per annum (£17.06/hr) with enhanced weekend overtime rates (time-and-a-half Saturdays, double-time Sundays).
