Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is proud to partner with Bradford Council to recruit an experienced Development Coach to join the Elite Swim Training Team.
Bradford Aquatics' Elite Training Team is a performance-focused unit supporting swimmers with the commitment, ability, and ambition to reach their full competitive potential. Working alongside the Senior Coach and development team, this is an exciting and rewarding role offering fantastic opportunities for professional development within a performance environment that promotes excellence, discipline, and teamwork.
About the Role
As a Development Coach, you will plan and deliver high-quality training sessions while building foundational pathways for swimmers across regional and national programs. Key responsibilities include:
Session Planning & Coaching: Planning, coaching, and leading swimming sessions delivered to Elite Training scheme squad swimmers.
Pathway Development: Liaising with local base clubs to create a fundamental swimming development program aligned with the Long-Term Athlete Development (LTAD) national framework.
Project Management: Creating, developing, and managing developmental projects tailored to the differing skill development stages of young swimmers.
Community & School Links: Establishing strong connections between school swim programs, swimming lessons, and base clubs in line with LTAD philosophy.
Flexible Working: Managing a schedule that includes early morning and evening sessions (flexibility is essential).
About You
We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable swimming coach who brings:
Proven coaching experience within competitive swimming or aquatic development.
A strong understanding of swimmer development pathways and LTAD frameworks.
Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
Flexibility regarding working hours (including early mornings and evenings).
Note: An Enhanced DBS check will be conducted for the successful appointee.
