Your Role: What You’ll Do

As our Maintenance Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the care home remains safe, functional, and welcoming for all residents, visitors, and employees.

• Health & Safety First: Perform regular health and safety checks on the building, surrounding environment, and essential care equipment.

• General Maintenance: Complete day-to-day repairs, upkeep tasks, and general troubleshooting across the property.

• Interact with Care: Work comfortably in and out of residents' rooms, showing empathy, warmth, and understanding—especially to those living with dementia.

• Manage Your Time: Work independently to prioritize a varied list of tasks, taking the lead on maintenance needs while collaborating with the wider care home team.

What We Are Looking For

We need an organized problem-solver who can handle the physical and mental demands of a busy facility.

• Qualifications: Ideally hold a relevant maintenance qualification (or be willing to work towards one) and possess an understanding of the Health and Social Care Act 2008.

• Experience: Proven ability to manage pressure, multi-task, prioritize work, and carry out building/environment checks.

• Key Attributes: Empathetic, reliable, and comfortable working in an active care home setting.

• Requirements: A clean, valid UK driving license is essential.

• Eligibility: Must have the right to work in the UK and live within a commutable distance of Timperley (WA15 6SQ).
