As a Retail Catering Assistant within our health team at Forth Valley Royal Hospital, you will help deliver a high-quality, welcoming catering service for patients, visitors, and colleagues. Your work ensures excellent customer service, safe food preparation, and a clean, reliable retail environment that puts care and trust at the heart of everything.
Customer Service: Provide a friendly, courteous, and efficient catering service to patients, visitors, and hospital staff.
Food Prep & Service: Prepare and serve food and beverages according to agreed quality, safety, and presentation standards.
Till Operations: Operate tills and handle cash accurately while strictly following financial handling procedures.
Hygiene & Safety: Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness, including sanitising equipment, work surfaces, and dining areas.
Stock & Sales: Support retail sales by promoting offers, driving revenue, and storing/rotating stock correctly to minimise waste and ensure freshness.

Experience: Proven experience delivering excellent customer service within a catering, hospitality, or retail environment.
Safety & Compliance: Ability to follow food safety, health and safety, and hygiene procedures consistently.

Reliability: Flexible, adaptable, and a dedicated team player who shows care and empathy in a healthcare setting.
Vetting Readiness: Membership of the PVG Scheme is required (involving a detailed check of spent/unspent convictions for safeguarding compliance), alongside completion of an occupational health questionnaire.
