Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time (44 hours per week, night shifts including alternate weekends)

Salary: £12.90 – £14.51 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications

Role Overview

We are looking for a motivated and compassionate Senior Care Assistant to join our night team. In this pivotal role, you will play a crucial part in running your unit, working closely with the nurse on clinical duties, and leading, inspiring, and developing a close-knit team of Care Assistants.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive and manage a team of Care Assistants, taking full responsibility for shift handovers and daily unit operations.

• Support nurses with clinical duties, including observations, administering medication, reviewing care plans, and keeping accurate records.

• Train, mentor, and supervise new staff members to ensure they feel welcomed and supported.

• Build strong relationships with residents, their families, and external healthcare teams such as GPs and District Nurses.

• Assist residents with a range of personal care duties with dignity, kindness, and respect.

Key Requirements & Qualifications

• Completed or working towards an NVQ Level 3 in Care (full support and training provided if needed).

• Previous experience in a senior care role with a clear understanding of its rewards and challenges.

• A positive, motivating, and collaborative attitude with strong interpersonal skills.
