About the Role

At Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency, we are dedicated to linking structured, hard-working leaders with career-defining logistics opportunities. We are proud to partner with Lidl to find an exceptional, proactive Warehouse Shift Leader for their Regional Distribution Centre in Wednesbury.

As a Warehouse Shift Leader, you will be right at the heart of the action. You aren't just managing from a desk—you will lead by example on the floor during the morning and early afternoon shifts, opening, running, and closing shifts while keeping your team motivated and on track. From coaching new starters to collaborating with other department leaders to keep operations seamless, you’ll see the direct, satisfying impact of your hard work at the end of every day. If you have a passion for mentoring, a sharp eye for efficiency, and want a role that values your hands-on leadership, this is your bridge to a brilliant career.

What You’ll Do

• Line Manage & Coach: Support, develop, and train a talented warehouse team, giving them the tools and coaching they need to succeed.

• Run High-Performing Shifts: Take direct ownership of shift performance in your designated area, managing KPIs and daily targets.

• Collaborate Across Departments: Coordinate closely with fellow Shift Leaders across the RDC to ensure seamless, efficient product flow.

• Support Management: Work hand-in-hand with your Department Manager on daily operations and team personnel management.

• Lead from the Front: Roll up your sleeves and jump in to help with general warehouse duties—like picking, moving stock, and processing returns—whenever needed.

• Drive Continuous Improvement: Proactively spot and resolve inefficiencies, promoting safe and smart working methods.

What You’ll Need

• Prior experience in a leadership or supervisory role within a busy warehouse, logistics, or fast-paced operational environment.

• A highly proactive, reliable, and performance-oriented work ethic.

• Strong communication skills with a natural ability to motivate, coach, and inspire a diverse team.

• The adaptability to handle changing priorities and shift adjustments calmly and efficiently.

• The flexibility to work rotating shifts scheduled between 04:30 AM and 02:30 PM across any 5 out of 7 days.

What You’ll Receive

Lidl values the dedication of its operational leaders, offering a structured competitive salary alongside a premium benefits package:

• Generous Time Off: 30–35 days of annual holiday (pro rata).

• In-Store Discount: A 10% discount to use on your weekly shopping at Lidl.

• Financial Security: A contributory company pension scheme.

• Family Support: Enhanced family leave options.

• Continuous Development: Access to ongoing, top-tier training to help you level up your leadership skills.
