Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is proud to partner with Five Rivers Child Care Ltd to recruit a dedicated and motivated permanent Social Worker for our growing Doncaster Fostering Service. Operating within a hybrid working model, you will join an experienced, supportive team committed to achieving exceptional, life-changing outcomes for children and young people.
At Five Rivers, we champion an Attachment and Trauma-Informed Care (ATIC) model. This integrated approach combines fostering, residential, clinical, and education services, backed directly by on-site psychologists, therapeutic practitioners, foster support workers, and business support coordinators. Combined with our manageable, realistic caseloads, you will have the time, space, and clinical backing required to deliver truly impactful, relational interventions.
Carer Supervision & Support: Provide regular, high-quality supervision, monitoring, and professional guidance to foster carers across the Doncaster region to ensure safe, stable placements.
Trauma-Informed Practice: Embed our ATIC model into daily casework, translating psychological frameworks into practical, therapeutic strategies that support emotional regulation and placement stability.
Assessments & Recruitment: Complete comprehensive Form F assessments, actively support recruitment campaigns, and participate in fostering events to expand our carer network.
Multi-Agency Collaboration: Work closely with foster families, local authorities, and internal multi-disciplinary professionals to drive proactive care planning and positive outcomes.
Service Development: Contribute to team meetings, service improvement initiatives, and out-of-hours support rotas as required.
Qualifications & Registration: A recognised formal Social Work qualification and active, current registration with Social Work England.
Experience: Demonstrated professional experience working with children, young people, and families (fostering experience is highly advantageous).
Skills & Attributes: Excellent communication, relationship-building, and active listening skills, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
Mobility & Compliance: A full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle for work purposes, and the Right to Work in the UK.
Financial Package: Competitive market-related salary of £33,755 - £38,772 p.a. (DOE) complemented by a car allowance and a robust company pension scheme.
