Housekeeping Team Lead / HOD
About this role
As the Housekeeping HOD, you will oversee daily domestic operations, staff schedules, and compliance audits, reporting directly to the Facilities Manager. You will supervise and mentor team members, handle stock management, and maintain strict adherence to hospital infection control policies.
Key Responsibilities
Manage daily housekeeping operations, including staff rotas, task scheduling, inductions, training, and absence management.
Oversee stock control, audit compliance, and safety protocols regarding cleaning equipment and chemical usage.
Act as the key contact for equipment maintenance reporting, complaint resolution, and operational alignment with management.
Requirements
SVQ/NVQ Level 2 in Housekeeping (or equivalent qualification).
Proven supervisory or management experience in housekeeping/domestic services within a hospital or healthcare setting.
Strong IT skills, commercial awareness, and physical capability to handle routine manual tasks across flexible shift patterns.
