Supportive Bridge Staffing & Recruitment is pleased to assist Nuffield Health Shipley Fitness & Wellbeing Gym in recruiting a proactive and skilled Building Services Engineer to join their team in Shipley, UK. Nuffield Health is Britain’s largest healthcare charity, dedicated to delivering comprehensive health, fitness, and wellbeing facilities to local communities nationwide.
In this hands-on full-time role, you will be responsible for the mechanical, electrical, and fabric maintenance of the entire facility, including swimming pools, air conditioning, and heating systems. Working across a structured shift rota, you will manage preventative maintenance plans, handle reactive repairs via a CAFM system, and ensure full compliance with health, safety, and water hygiene regulations to provide an exceptional environment for members.
Execute planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repair tasks across building fabric, mechanical plant, HVAC systems, and pool plant operations using a CAFM system.
Conduct regular statutory compliance testing, including pool/spa water quality checks, emergency lighting tests, and health and safety documentation management.
Manage minor fabric repairs, plumbing, electrical fault-finding on control panels, and the safe handling and storage of pool chemicals under COSHH guidelines.
Practical experience in facilities maintenance or building services engineering within a commercial or industrial setting.
Good working knowledge of Building Management Systems (BMS), three-phase electrical control panels, and statutory compliance protocols.
A recognized trade qualification or Pool Plant Operator certificate is desirable (full pool plant training can be provided).
