About the Role
We are recruiting a reliable, caring Domestic Assistant on a permanent part-time basis (22 hours per week) on behalf of Mapplewell Manor in Barnsley, an inspiring, CQC-rated care home with a strong culture of teamwork and pride.
Your work will play an essential part in creating a clean, safe, and warm environment where residents feel valued, comfortable, and truly at home. You will maintain high standards of cleanliness across designated areas while always respecting individual dignity and personal space.
What You Will Need
A Caring & Respectful Approach: Genuine sensitivity to the needs of older people and a strong commitment to personal dignity.
Experience: Previous domestic or cleaning experience is desirable, but a strong work ethic and attention to detail matter most.
Teamwork & Initiative: The ability to work well independently or as part of a friendly team, following health & safety and COSHH guidelines.
Flexibility & Proximity: A flexible approach to work, including a 7-day rota. Ideally living within 15 miles of Barnsley (S75 6BB) for a manageable commute.
