In this role, you will help families say the perfect goodbye to their loved ones. You do not need any previous experience in the funeral industry, as full training and ongoing support are provided. From collecting and caring for the deceased with dignity and respect to driving funeral vehicles and bearing coffins, your sensitivity will make a profound difference.

Key Responsibilities

• Care of the Deceased: Prepare, transport, and personally care for the deceased (roles involve direct physical contact), ensuring adherence to health and safety standards.

• Funeral Duties: Bear coffins on the day of the funeral, drive funeral vehicles, prepare coffins, and engrave name plates.

• Logistics & Maintenance: Safely lift and move coffins using proper techniques and handling equipment, and maintain the cleanliness of vehicles, equipment, and facilities.

• Administration: Accurately update client management applications and maintain detailed, timely digital records.

What We Are Looking For

• Driving Licence: A full manual UK driver’s licence is required.

• Physical Capability: The ability to perform the physical aspects of the role, including manual lifting and handling.

• IT Skills: Good confidence with technology devices (computers, tablets, smartphones, printers) and systems.

• Personal Traits: A calm, compassionate, and sensitive approach with strong attention to detail.
