• Shift Focus: Night shifts, acting as the Nurse in Charge

• Experience: Previous nursing home experience is desirable but not essential; full clinical support and training are provided!

Your Role: What You’ll Do

As a Registered Nurse on the night shift, you will lead the clinical team, making key decisions that ensure residents receive high-quality, dignified, and safe care overnight.

• Clinical Leadership: Take charge of the shift, manage the care team, and plan shift duties effectively.

• Complex Care & Clinical Skills: Utilizing tools like the PCS system, you will manage medication administration and oversee specialized tasks such as syringe drivers, catheterisation, taking bloods, PEG feeds, and stoma care.

• Personalized Care Planning: Write, review, and implement tailored care plans that prioritize the physical, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing of residents.

• Collaborative Care: Liaise with GPs, Multi-Disciplinary Teams (MDT), and families, maintaining robust clinical governance and safeguarding standards.

• Dementia Advocacy: Use your deep understanding of dementia and complex needs to offer reassurances and maintain a peaceful night environment.

What We Are Looking For

We want a dedicated, clinical professional who is a natural leader and an advocate for high-quality elder care.

• Professional Qualifications: A nursing qualification recognized by the UK NMC with an active, valid NMC PIN (RGN, RMN, or RNLD).

• Clinical Confidence: Strong decision-making skills and practical experience (or a willingness to learn) with syringe drivers, PEG feeds, catheterisation, and stoma care.

• Regulatory Knowledge: A solid understanding of the Mental Capacity Act (MCA) and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS).

• Great Communicator: Able to lead team members warmly and liaise confidently with external medical professionals.

• Eligible to Work: Must have the right to work in the UK and live within a commutable distance of Cramlington (NE23 6XF).
