Healthcare Assistant – Ward
About this role
As a Ward Healthcare Assistant, you will support nursing teams in delivering pre- and post-operative patient care while maintaining daily ward administration. Working flexible full-time hours including weekend shifts, you will assist with patient needs, maintain accurate clinical records, and contribute to an efficient, caring ward environment.
Key Responsibilities
Assist Registered Nurses and clinical staff in delivering exceptional care to surgical and medical inpatients.
Perform ward-based administrative duties, including maintaining accurate patient records, data entry, and phone communications.
Support patients through their pre- and post-operative journeys, prioritizing patient dignity, comfort, and safety.
Requirements
NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent qualification).
Proven healthcare experience within an acute hospital, care home, or clinical setting.
Strong IT, administrative, and database skills with excellent communication abilities and attention to detail.
