Salary: £43,443.05 per annum FTE based on 40 hours per week (equivalent to £20.83 per hour)

Contract Type: Permanent

Working Pattern: Full-time (36 hours per week, worked on a rotational basis covering 24/7, 365 days per year)

We are acting on behalf of Mountain Healthcare Ltd—a market-leading provider of clinical forensic healthcare in partnership with NHS England and police forces—to recruit a compassionate, dedicated Sexual Offence Examiner (SOE) to join their team at the South Yorkshire SARC in Sheffield.

Key Responsibilities

1. Forensic Examinations & Holistic Care

• Perform forensic examinations, obtain forensic exhibits, and secure informed consent for health and forensic procedures in line with FFLM guidelines and Forensic Science Regulator requirements.

• Develop robust forensic strategies and undertake comprehensive holistic assessments covering sexual health, mental health, and adult/child safeguarding.

• Produce individualized management plans and act as a first point of contact for victims, police, and social services regarding referral and self-referral pathways.

2. Multidisciplinary Collaboration & Quality Assurance

• Work collaboratively in partnership with external multidisciplinary teams (MDTs), police officers, and partner agencies.

• Maintain accurate, contemporaneous clinical records and contribute actively to the ongoing quality improvement of the service.

Person Specification

Essential Criteria

• Qualifications & Registration: Qualified Registered Nurse (RN), Midwife, Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN), or Paramedic with current, unrestricted UK professional registration.

• Experience: Minimum of 3 or more years of relevant post-qualification experience, with a proven ability to work autonomously in high-pressure or clinical environments.

• Competencies: Strong phlebotomy skills, solid understanding of safeguarding (children and adults), and strict adherence to confidentiality and professional standards.

• Requirements: Female applicant only (genuine occupational requirement); full UK driving licence and access to a reliable vehicle; willingness to undergo an advanced DBS check and Level 2 police vetting.
