We are looking for a warm, enthusiastic, and dedicated Kitchen Assistant (Bank) to join the award-winning team at Avery Park Care Home, operated by Avery Healthcare. In this flexible role, you will support the catering team with food preparation and maintain a pristine, hygienic kitchen environment, ensuring safe production of meals and beverages to deliver a high-quality dining experience for our residents.
Support the catering function with daily food preparation while maintaining rigorous hygiene standards.
Understand and apply the principles of safe food handling throughout all kitchen tasks.
Monitor and advise on stock supplies and the quality of items, helping ensure timely reordering.
Work collaboratively within a close-knit team, responding positively to colleagues and management.
Interact respectfully with residents and visitors, upholding the dignity and individuality of each resident.
Certifications: Must hold a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate and maintain high standards of personal hygiene.
Knowledge: Familiarity with Health and Safety regulations, including Moving and Handling techniques, Fire Safety, and COSHH assessments.
Attributes: An efficient, energetic worker capable of handling a demanding physical workload, displaying initiative, flexibility, and a genuinely caring attitude toward elderly residents.
