Salary: £13.45 to £15.02 per hour (depending on experience)
Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time and Part-Time day and night shifts available)
About the Role
We are partnering with Thatcham Court Care Home—a purpose-built dementia care home boasting a "Good" CQC rating and a 9.7/10 score on carehome.co.uk—to find a dedicated Senior Care Assistant. Thatcham Court specializes in comprehensive dementia care, ranging from early onset to complex end-of-life, residential, nursing, Parkinson’s, and short-stay care within a vibrant community environment.
As a Senior Care Assistant through Supportive Bridge, you will be crucial to running the unit smoothly. You will lead, inspire, and mentor a team of Care Assistants while supporting clinical duties, administering medication, reviewing care plans, and delivering person-centred care that champions dignity and independence.
Key Responsibilities
Take day-to-day responsibility for running a unit and leading shift handovers.
Support clinical duties, including working alongside nurses to observe residents, issue medication, review care plans, and maintain accurate digital records.
Drive, manage, train, and supervise a team of Care Assistants to ensure high standards of personal care.
Build strong, meaningful relationships with residents, their families, and external healthcare professionals like GPs and District Nurses.
Assist residents with personal care duties and physical/mental stimulation activities.
What We Are Looking For
Completed or working towards an NVQ Level 3 in care (full support provided to complete your qualification if needed).
Previous experience in a senior care role, paired with an understanding of its rewards and challenges.
