As a supportive bridge staffing agency dedicated to linking exceptional talent with industry-leading brands, we are thrilled to partner with Morrisons—one of the UK's premier supermarkets—to recruit a passionate and skilled Market Street Baker for their Crossmyloof store in Glasgow.
If you have a passion for baking, a background as a trained baker, or hands-on experience in a professional kitchen bakery, this is an opportunity you "doughnut" want to miss! As the face of the fresh bakery counter, you will combine traditional baking craftsmanship with a friendly approach to create memorable shopping moments.
Key Responsibilities:
Baking & Preparation: Mix and mould dough to prepare a wide variety of fresh breads, rolls, doughnuts, and fruited products using specialist equipment (such as provers, ovens, and mixers) to company specifications.
Merchandising & Display: Maintain quality, fresh, and visually appealing food displays throughout the trading day to drive sales and ensure customer confidence in product availability.
Customer Service: Deliver an outstanding, friendly, and helpful service, actively engaging with shoppers and highlighting Morrisons' traditional skills and fresh offerings.
Flexibility & Safety: Work flexibly across other fresh counters on Market Street, using your initiative to resolve queries while strictly maintaining high standards of Health & Safety.
What We Need From You
Baking Experience: Competent baking skills with hands-on experience working as a trained baker, in a bakery, or within a professional kitchen environment.
Customer-First Attitude: A naturally helpful, supportive, and friendly style with a passion for going above and beyond for customers.
Active & Adaptable: Enjoy working in a fast-paced, varied, and physically active retail environment.
Eligibility: Must be over the school leaver's age.
