Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is proud to partner with Change Grow Live (CGL) to recruit a dedicated and experienced Senior Smoke Free Practitioner to join the Smokefree Lancashire service in Accrington.
In this vital permanent role, you will provide expert stop-smoking advice, information, and personalized quit plans while taking on a key leadership role. Alongside delivering 1-1 and group support sessions and pharmacotherapy, you will provide line management, supervision, and appraisals to specialist team members, helping drive service targets and community engagement across the region.
Team Leadership & Management: Provide effective line management, regular supervision, and appraisals to Specialist practitioners and volunteers.
Specialist Service Delivery: Lead a specialist team delivering brief advice, structured smoking cessation programmes, and tailored interventions to diverse populations.
Community Engagement: Promote the benefits of stopping smoking, engage with the wider community and partner agencies, and encourage appropriate referrals.
Operational Support: Support the Service Manager in achieving key service targets, leading on tailored work-streams, and ensuring high standards of care.
Leadership Experience: Proven experience of providing line management, supervision, and appraisals to staff or volunteers in a health or social care setting.
Smoking Cessation Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the harmful effects of smoking, national guidelines, and available treatments/interventions.
Core Skills: Experience carrying out client assessments, strong teamwork abilities, and confident verbal and written communication skills.
Requirements: Proactive and flexible professional. Must hold the legal Right to Work in the UK (note: this role is subject to an enhanced DBS check).
Annual Leave: 25 days of annual leave plus bank holidays, increasing by 1 extra day for each year of service during the first five years (up to 30 days).
