Working Hours:
Position 1 (22.5 hours): Monday, Wednesday, Thursday (08:00 – 16:00)
Position 2 (10 hours): Wednesday & Friday (08:00 – 13:00)
Salary Range: £25,272 pro rata per annum

Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is proud to partner with Airedale NHS Foundation Trust to recruit motivated, enthusiastic, and flexible Ward Clerks (Band 2) to join our teams at Airedale General Hospital.
With Airedale embarking on an inspiring journey to build a brand-new state-of-the-art hospital by 2033 and advancing into a digital future, this is a wonderful opportunity to play an integral administrative role at the heart of our community.
As a Ward Clerk, you will play a key role in the day-to-day running of busy wards and units, ensuring that patient administration is completed accurately and in a timely manner. Key responsibilities include:
Reception & Welcome: Welcoming patients and visitors to the clinical area with a courteous, professional demeanor.
Enquiries & Communication: Handling telephone and face-to-face enquiries from patients, relatives, and hospital staff with empathy and efficiency.
Patient Administration Systems: Performing correct procedures for patient admissions, discharges, transfers, deaths, and follow-up appointments using Trust computer systems.
Medical Records & Confidentiality: Managing and tracing medical case notes, ensuring patient records are available on the ward while maintaining strict confidentiality at all times.
We are looking for an organized, detail-oriented individual who meets the following criteria:
Qualifications: GCSE English & Maths (or equivalent) with a willingness to undergo further training.
Experience & Skills: Previous administration and office experience, strong computer literacy, and excellent customer service and communication skills.
Attributes: Able to use your own initiative, remain calm and organized under pressure, maintain strict confidentiality, and work flexibly within a team.
