What You’ll Be Doing

As a Night Care Assistant, you will be a reassuring, friendly, and supportive presence for our residents during the quiet hours. Your daily responsibilities will include:

• Providing Person-Centred Care: Helping residents with their bedtime and morning routines, assisting with personal care, and ensuring their comfort throughout the night.

• Being a Comforting Presence: Lending a listening ear or a reassuring word to residents who might wake up or feel anxious overnight.

• Accurate Record-Keeping: Updating digital care plans using the PCS (Person Centred Software) system to track daily wellbeing and activities.

• Team Collaboration: Working closely alongside the Night Nurse in Charge to maintain a safe, peaceful, and clean environment.

• Key Attributes: True compassion, patience, outstanding communication skills, and a strong sense of dignity and respect for the elderly.

• The Basics: A reliable team player with great attention to detail and the ability to handle physical tasks (like assisting residents with mobility) safely.

• Compliance: Successful candidates will be subject to a standard, fully funded Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
