Role Description

Supportive Bridge Staffing & Recruitment is seeking a reliable and proactive Maintenance Assistant to join the facilities team at West Abbey Care Centre in Yeovil, UK. Working on a permanent part-time basis (24 hours per week), you will play an essential role in preserving the safety, upkeep, and visual appeal of the care home building and surrounding grounds.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out routine property repairs, general maintenance tasks, and facility upkeep across all internal areas and exterior grounds.

• Perform regular health and safety checks to ensure resident rooms, communal spaces, and equipment remain fully operational and secure.

• Assist home leadership with basic groundskeeping, painting, and general repairs to uphold an attractive and welcoming environment.

• Practical background in general property maintenance, repairs, or facilities care.
