Healthcare Assistant - Outpatients / Pre Assessment (Bank)

Supportive Bridge Staffing & Recruitment is delighted to assist a leading healthcare hospital in finding a dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join their Outpatients and Pre-Assessment team in Bristol, UK. In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing direct clinical support, ensuring smooth outpatient clinic operations, and delivering high standards of compassionate care to every patient.

Working on a flexible bank contract basis, you will support various specialist clinics on an ad-hoc schedule, including potential weekend shifts. You will work closely alongside nurses, consultants, and multidisciplinary teams in a modern hospital setting, managing varied priorities with diligence and focus.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist consultants and registered nurses during outpatient procedures, clinical examinations, dressing changes, and wound care.

• Support day-to-day clinic operations across multiple specialties, including Orthopaedics, Gynaecology, Cardiology, and GP Services.

• Provide attentive, individualized care to patients throughout their pre-assessment and outpatient appointment pathways.

Requirements

• NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent healthcare qualification).

• Proven healthcare assistant experience within an acute hospital, care, or clinical outpatient setting.

• Strong interpersonal skills, basic IT literacy, and a flexible, patient-focused approach to working hours.
