Position: Hygiene Operator - Part-Time
Location: East London (Greencore Bow, Twelvetrees Crescent, London E3 3JG – home to a team of around 1,100 colleagues producing sandwiches, wraps, platters, sub rolls, and baguettes for major UK retailers including Sainsbury’s, Co-op, Asda, and Morrisons)
Pay Rate: £13.63 per hour
Job Type: Permanent - Part-Time
Shift Pattern: 5 on, 2 off | Sunday to Thursday, 12:00 – 17:00 (5 hours per day)

As a supportive bridge staffing agency, we are proud to partner with Greencore (following their combination with Bakkavor) to find dedicated technical and hygiene talent. Greencore is one of the UK’s leading convenience food creators, employing over 28,000 colleagues across 36 manufacturing sites and 21 distribution depots.
At their busy London Bow facility, we are currently seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Hygiene Operator to undertake essential cleaning tasks, maintain high hygiene standards, and ensure production areas remain safe and compliant.
Key Responsibilities
Cleaning & Sanitation: Perform general hygiene tasks, including the cleaning of production equipment to required standards and executing deep cleans according to the cleaning schedule.
Chemical Safety: Handle and use all cleaning chemicals safely and appropriately in compliance with COSHH regulations.
Compliance & Paperwork: Complete all required paperwork and logbook entries accurately, follow work instructions, and escalate any issues promptly to the Hygiene Manager.
Safety Culture: Promote a positive health, safety, and environmental culture within the department.
What We Are Looking For
While full on-the-job training is provided, we are looking for candidates with:
Core Skills: Proficiency in warehouse hygiene duties, including the safe assembly and disassembly of machinery for thorough cleaning, plus good reading and writing communication abilities.
Experience: Previous cleaning, manual handling, or food production experience is desired, though not always essential.
Attributes: Strict adherence to approved procedures, attention to detail with logbook entries, and a strong commitment to health and safety.
