Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is proud to partner with Airedale NHS Foundation Trust to recruit a dedicated and organized Administration Assistant and Receptionist (Band 2) to join the team at Airedale General Hospital.
With Airedale embarking on an exciting journey—including planning and building a brand-new hospital by 2033 and advancing into a digital future with new electronic patient records—this is a fantastic opportunity to play a vital role at the heart of our community.
As the first point of contact for patients and visitors entering the Cardio-Respiratory Department, you will ensure a warm, professional, and positive experience. Key responsibilities include:
Patient Reception & Registration: Receiving and registering patients on the Cardio-Respiratory Patient Management System (Solus).
Enquiries & Communication: Handling telephone and face-to-face enquiries, directing queries to appropriate staff, and providing accurate information within your scope of responsibility.
Administrative Support: Assisting appointment clerks and clinical staff with administrative tasks, including appointment bookings and cancellations.
Team Collaboration: Working closely with multidisciplinary teams across simple and complex diagnostic investigations (such as ECGs, echocardiograms, lung function testing, and sleep studies).
We are looking for a customer-focused, highly motivated individual who meets the following essential criteria:
Qualifications: GCSE Grade A-C / 4-9 in English & Maths (or equivalent experience) and an NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent experience).
Skills: Competent IT skills (word processing, email, databases) alongside effective verbal, non-verbal, and written communication skills.
Experience: Previous experience working with the general public, organizing and prioritizing your own workload, and working as part of a team.
