Role Description
Supportive Bridge Staffing & Recruitment is pleased to recruit an experienced Head of Maintenance on behalf of our client to lead property upkeep and safety operations at a well-regarded care home in Cambridge. In this pivotal lead role, you will take full ownership of maintaining the internal facilities and surrounding grounds, managing budgets, leading maintenance team members, and ensuring a safe, welcoming environment for all residents.
Key Responsibilities
Lead day-to-day property maintenance, health and safety checks, and grounds management across the care facility.
Supervise maintenance personnel, liaise with external contractors, and assist the General Manager with annual budget planning.
Oversee and perform practical building repairs, ensuring all work is delivered with minimal disruption to resident care.
Requirements
Practical property maintenance background with at least one core trade skill and a valid UK driving licence.
Proven leadership capacity, sound IT skills, and basic proficiency in English and Maths (GCSE level or equivalent).
Patient, reliable, and empathetic approach suited to working alongside elderly care home residents.
