As a Swimming Teacher working on behalf of Shropshire Community Leisure Trust at Market Drayton, you will play an inspiring role in teaching safe, fun, and progressive swimming lessons following the tried-and-tested Swim England learn-to-swim framework.

Lesson Delivery: Plan and deliver engaging, safe, and progressive swimming lessons for swimmers of all ages and abilities.
Skill Development: Build water confidence, stroke technique, and life-saving aquatic skills following the Swim England framework.
Customer Engagement: Foster a welcoming, inclusive, and motivational environment for students and families.
Progress Tracking: Encourage participant progression, celebrating milestones from early years splash sessions all the way to competitive swimming pathways.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, customer-focused communicator with a passion for swimming and community wellbeing.
Core Qualifications: Hold either an STA Award/Certificate in Teaching Swimming or Swim England (formerly ASA) Level 2.
Safety Qualifications: Holding a valid RLSS UK NPLQ, RLSS UK NRASTC, or STA Safety Award for Teachers is advantageous, but free training can be provided.
No Experience? No Problem: Trainee and aspiring teachers without formal qualifications are encouraged to apply; in-house training courses and tutor pathways are available.
Interpersonal Skills: Outstanding customer service skills with a friendly, patient, and adaptable teaching style.
Vetting Requirement: A standard DBS check is required for this role (provided and paid for by us, along with professional insurance cover).
Financial Package: Competitive hourly rate ranging from £13.00 to £16.98 per hour depending on experience.
