Key Responsibilities
Provide a wide range of engaging, stimulating activities and events designed to promote residents' physical, psychological, and social health.
Promote a philosophy of privacy, dignity, independence, choice, and fulfillment across all daily interactions.
Identify individual life histories, needs, and preferences by collaborating with residents and their families to build detailed life stories.
Plan and submit monthly activity plans and weekly overviews to the Home Manager while encouraging the active involvement of staff, relatives, and visitors.
Maintain a safe, welcoming living and working environment that upholds the professional image of the home.
Person Specification & Requirements
Experience: Essential previous experience working with older people within a residential, nursing, or dementia care setting, coupled with a proven background in organizing activities and events.
Core Skills & Qualities: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, a genuinely positive attitude toward older people, and a strong alignment with Avery's values of caring, support, honesty, respect, and accountability.
Compliance: Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check required (cost met by Avery Healthcare) alongside proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
