Supportive Bridge Staffing & Recruitment is pleased to assist our valued client in recruiting an experienced Band 7 Community Specialist Practitioner to join their District Nursing service in Blackpool, UK. Based at Blackpool Stadium within Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, this permanent full-time post (37.5 hours per week, including weekend coverage as required) offers a key clinical leadership role delivering care across the Fylde Coast.
In this autonomous senior role, you will manage a caseload of housebound patients with highly complex needs, lead shift operations, and provide clinical supervision to the district nursing team. You will conduct comprehensive assessments, plan and implement evidence-based treatment plans, utilize non-medical prescribing skills (V300), and lead quality improvement initiatives, audits, and safeguarding practices across community settings.
Role Description
As a Band 7 Community Specialist Practitioner, you will manage a complex community nursing caseload, provide clinical leadership and supervision, prescribe care interventions, and oversee day-to-day team management.
Key Responsibilities
Manage a defined caseload of patients with highly complex health needs across home and clinic environments, assessing, planning, and evaluating holistic interventions.
Provide clinical leadership, operational management, and clinical supervision for members of the community nursing team in conjunction with the Team Leader.
Utilize non-medical prescribing authority (V300) to optimize condition management, while facilitating clinical audits, quality improvement, and safeguarding for vulnerable patients.
Requirements
Active NMC registration as a Registered Nurse with a degree-level qualification and a Community Specialist Practitioner qualification.
Minimum of 2 years of experience at Band 6 level within a community nursing environment, demonstrating proven leadership, change management, and complex caseload management skills.
V300 Non-Medical Prescriber qualification (or a willingness to complete the qualification).
