Job Summary We are recruiting an experienced and driven Lead Pharmacist to join our healthcare partner, playing a pivotal role in delivering exceptional homecare and dispensary operations. In this senior position, you will act as a key escalation point, provide operational and clinical leadership to the pharmacy team, and ensure strict adherence to GPhC regulatory standards. You will support site management, mentor staff, and ensure that over 240,000 patients receive safe, high-quality, and seamless clinical homecare services.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as an intermediate escalation point and support bridge between Homecare Pharmacists and the Superintendent Pharmacist.

• Provide operational onsite lead pharmacist support to site, dispensary, and patient support managers.

• Clinically check homecare prescriptions and expertly respond to complex queries from patients, NHS partners, and internal nursing teams.

• Investigate incidents, contribute professional input to complaints, and collaborate with the Pharmacist Patient Safety Lead to address knowledge gaps.

• Oversee site readiness for regulatory inspections by the GPhC and other relevant pharmacy bodies, acting as the Responsible Pharmacist when required.

• Deliver targeted training, represent pharmacy operations at "Train the Trainer" sessions, and act as a tutor for NVQ Level 2 and 3 pharmacy training courses.

• Maintain and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), contribute to new service implementations, and support operational change proposals.

Skills and Qualifications

• Registered Pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) with a minimum of 2 years of post-qualification experience (essential).

• Direct knowledge and previous professional experience working within Clinical Homecare.

• Proven background collaborating seamlessly with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals.

• Demonstrated ability to balance rigorous professional pharmacy standards with fast-paced business demands.

• Experience providing services at a distance and utilizing Patient Group Directions (PGDs).

• Post-graduate qualifications in leadership, management, or training are highly desirable.
