The Role
Are you passionate about baking, with experience working in a professional kitchen, bakery, or as a trained baker? This is an opportunity you doughnut want to miss!
As a Market Street Baker, you will be the face of our fresh in-store bakery, using traditional baking skills and equipment (such as provers, ovens, and mixers) to delight our shoppers daily.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure total customer confidence in the availability of fresh, high-quality bakery products.
Prepare a variety of fresh goods to company specification, including breads, rolls, doughnuts, and fruited items.
Maintain clean, attractive, and well-stocked food displays throughout the trading day to drive sales.
Deliver friendly, helpful service that highlights our traditional craft and fresh offerings.
Work flexibly across other fresh food counters on Market Street to support overall store needs.
About You
We are looking for someone with a natural flair for baking and a passion for customer service. You will thrive in this role if you possess:
Baking Skills: Competent mixing and moulding skills, with experience using bakery equipment while upholding rigorous Health & Safety standards.
Customer-First Attitude: A friendly, supportive nature who loves meeting new people, using initiative to resolve queries, and going above and beyond.
Energy & Flexibility: Enjoyment of an active, fast-paced, and varied retail environment with a flexible approach to shifts.
