About the Role
In this dynamic role, you will support the development and deployment of advanced Digital Manufacturing Engineering toolsets that enable the delivery of the Global Combat Air Programme (GCAP). Working collaboratively across Manufacturing Engineering, Enterprise IT, Edgewing, and Air Digital Manufacturing teams, you will help configure, integrate, and deploy digital solutions aligned with enterprise architecture and future programme needs.
Core Duties & Responsibilities:
Support the development and delivery of the Digital Manufacturing Engineering (ME) toolset strategy to drive GCAP programme delivery.
Collaborate with Enterprise IT, Edgewing, and ME stakeholders to align toolset plans, configurations, and deployment activities.
Contribute to the development and deployment of integrated digital manufacturing solutions across complex manufacturing environments.
Drive the adoption and continuous improvement of digital manufacturing tools through effective stakeholder communication and technical delivery.
What We Are Looking For (Essential Skills & Qualifications):
Domain Knowledge: Sound knowledge of Manufacturing Engineering processes and digital manufacturing environments.
Toolsets Experience: Practical experience with manufacturing toolsets such as process planning, CAM, digital factory simulation, PFMEA, DFM/DFMA, and tooling design.
Problem-Solving & Requirements: Ability to interpret operational requirements, translate them into system needs, and support technical problem-solving.
Communication & Collaboration: Strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills to work effectively across multi-functional engineering, IT, and programme teams.
Security Note: Due to defense and export control restrictions, all applicants must achieve at least a Baseline Personnel Security Standard. Higher levels of National Security Vetting may apply where required.
