Join our team at Braeburn House in Salford for 22.5 hours a week! No two days will be the same as you use your decorating expertise to maintain high standards across our facilities, helping to create a welcoming and therapeutic setting for some of the most vulnerable people in society.
What You Will Be Doing
Lead all decorating and painting tasks, including proper surface preparation and applying paints, varnishes, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or sprayers.
Repair and maintain painted surfaces through touch-ups and refinishing, ensuring all work is completed to a high standard within project timelines.
Assist with the selection and procurement of materials through correct protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area with proper tool storage.
Support regular building checks, assist the broader maintenance team when required, and provide general maintenance cover during periods of absence.
Coordinate and chaperone contractors on-site, complete necessary paperwork, and strictly follow health, safety, and local risk assessment guidelines.
Key Skills & Qualifications
Proven previous experience in professional painting and decorating.
Face-to-face experience of dealing with people in a calm and professional manner.
A Full UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle.
The ability to work under pressure, respond efficiently to requests from the Regional Facilities Manager, and adhere to strict site security policies.

Braeburn House is a modern, purpose-built rehabilitation and recovery service in Salford, Manchester, for males suffering from a primary diagnosis of a mental health illness. Our residents have already progressed in their journey of recovery but still require further support, tailored environments, and intensive interventions.
