As a Dementia Ambassador, you will serve as a key advocate and specialist guide for dementia care delivery. You will work directly with residents to meet their physical and emotional needs while mentoring colleagues, leading training workshops, and modeling best clinical practice across the home.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver direct person-centered care to residents living with dementia, adapting strategies to enhance their daily experience and emotional well-being.
Upskill, coach, and mentor home care teams through information sharing, practical guidance, and hands-on training workshops.
Collaborate with the Home Manager and care teams to update care plans and implement best practices tailored to evolving dementia care needs.
Requirements
Essential practical experience supporting individuals living with dementia with a strong understanding of dementia-related needs and care planning.
Strong interpersonal, coaching, and communication skills, with a preference for a Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care.
Valid right to work in the UK and ability to commute reliably to Reading, UK.
