Position: Housekeeper / Bank Housekeeper
Location: Chilterns Court Care Centre, York Road, Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire, RG9 2DR (Situated in the charming riverside town of Henley-on-Thames)
Pay Rate: £13.14 per hour (Monday–Friday) | £14.14 per hour (Saturday–Sunday), plus NVQ enhancements available

As a supportive bridge staffing agency, we are partnering to recruit a dedicated and meticulous Bank / Relief Housekeeper for Chilterns Court Care Centre. Situated in the charming town of Henley-on-Thames, Chilterns Court offers first-class, compassionate residential, nursing, dementia, and respite care for up to 64 residents in homely, comfortable surroundings.
As a Housekeeper, you will play a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and infection control across the home. Using specialised equipment and materials, you will ensure every room and living space is safe, clean, and welcoming for residents, their families, and visitors. You will also enjoy a warm environment where residents sometimes like to join in with simple cleaning and laundry tasks!
Cleaning & Maintenance: Ensure all resident rooms, communal areas, and living spaces are kept immaculate, tidy, and hygienic at all times.
Infection Control: Act as a champion for health, safety, and infection control using professional cleaning equipment and procedures.
Resident Interaction: Build warm, sensitive relationships with elderly residents, occasionally involving them in light tasks if they wish to help out.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with the wider care and support team to maintain a safe, comfortable, and homely environment.
Experience: Previous housekeeping experience is fantastic, but not essential—full training is provided if you are new to the profession!
Personality: Someone who takes genuine pride in their work, has a caring and sensitive manner with older people, and enjoys being part of a friendly team.
Communication: Good communication skills and a positive, enthusiastic approach to daily tasks.
Competitive Pay: £13.14 per hour Mon–Fri, increasing to £14.14 per hour on weekends, plus NVQ enhancements.
