Healthcare Assistant - Outpatients

Supportive Bridge Staffing & Recruitment is seeking a dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join the Outpatient Assessment Team at a private hospital in Hereford, UK. In this flexible bank position, you will provide direct clinical and administrative support across a diverse range of outpatient specialty clinics.

Working alongside leading consultant surgeons and registered nurses, you will assist with minor clinical procedures and ensure the efficient day-to-day operation of outpatient departments. This role is ideal for a qualified, patient-focused individual looking for flexible ad-hoc shifts within a collaborative healthcare setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist consultants and registered nurses during outpatient procedures, including dressing changes and wound care management.

• Conduct patient pre-assessment questionnaires both in person and over the phone across various clinical specialties.

• Support smooth clinic operations across specialties such as Orthopaedics, Gynaecology, ENT, Cardiology, Plastics, and Urology.

Requirements

• NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care (mandatory requirement).

• Prior practical experience as a Healthcare Assistant or Care Assistant within a clinical or care environment.

• Strong IT literacy, attention to detail, and excellent verbal communication skills with a flexible, patient-centred approach.
