Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is proud to partner with BAE Systems to source an experienced Aerodrome Safeguarding & Infrastructure Change Co-Ordinator for Warton Aerodrome.
Join a global leader in advanced defense, aerospace, and security solutions. At BAE Systems, you will play a vital regulatory and safety role in ensuring that all aerodrome developments and infrastructure projects maintain operational capability within a complex flying environment.
Reporting to the Aerodrome Lead Compliance Officer, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, and coordinating aerodrome safeguarding and infrastructure changes. You will ensure that developments, temporary works, and operational changes comply strictly with regulatory standards while prioritizing safety across a dynamic test and operational flying environment.
Support the aerodrome to ensure full alignment with governance, assurance, and regulatory requirements.
Review planning applications within the airport's safeguarding area and lead evaluations of safety impacts.
Maintain oversight of compliance with CAA requirements, aerodrome license obligations, and safety management systems (SMS).
Liaise with internal stakeholders and external regulators to resolve competing operational, commercial, and safety priorities.
Provide expert recommendations to management on project safety and escalate significant risks affecting future aerodrome operations.
Regulatory Knowledge: Solid understanding of aviation frameworks such as CAP 168 / UK Reg 139, CAP 738 (Aerodrome Safeguarding), CAP 791 (Changes for Aerodrome Infrastructure), and Safety Management Systems (SMS).
Project Experience: Proven experience supporting the safe delivery of airside changes and infrastructure projects within operational environments.
Compliance Background: Strong background in regulatory compliance regarding safeguarding and operational change (awareness of military aviation regulation [MAA] is highly desirable).
Security Clearance: Must achieve a minimum of Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS).
