Quantity Surveyor (Civil Engineering / Infrastructure)
Location: Tebay, Cumbria (Site-based with flexible/remote working options available)
Hours: Permanent, Full-Time (45 hours per week — flexible working arrangements open for discussion)
Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 per year + £5,000 annual car allowance + excellent benefits package

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will join the high-profile Lune Gorge project team to help deliver one of the UK's major civil engineering infrastructure schemes. Working alongside experienced industry professionals, you will play a key role in supporting the commercial success, financial control, and overall delivery of this major project while driving your career forward in the construction sector.
Support the commercial management of contracts and work packages to meet project objectives and maximize profitability.
Prepare and submit valuations, applications for payment, compensation events, claims, and commercial reports in compliance with contractual requirements.
Monitor project costs, forecast financial performance, and provide commercial insights to guide management decision-making.
Identify commercial risks and opportunities to actively mitigate issues and improve project outcomes.
Manage measurements, valuations, and cash flow processes to maintain strict commercial control throughout the project lifecycle.
Hold a degree, HNC/HND, or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related construction discipline.
Bring practical commercial, quantity surveying, or cost management experience from construction, civil engineering, infrastructure, or transportation projects.
Possess a full UK driving licence and enjoy working within a site-based construction environment (Tebay, Cumbria).
Demonstrate confidence using Microsoft Office applications—particularly Excel—to analyze and manage complex commercial data.
Bring strong communication and relationship-building skills to collaborate effectively with diverse project stakeholders.
