MRI Lead Radiographer
About this role
As the MRI Lead Radiographer, you will oversee the clinical delivery and operational safety of the MRI service within a modern 27-bed private hospital. You will take ownership of departmental development, supervise junior radiographers, update policies and QA procedures, and work alongside leading practitioners to ensure high standards of patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the clinical lead for MRI services, performing diverse MRI procedures (including cardiac MRI) on Siemens scanners.
Lead departmental QA, MRI safety investigations, clinical competencies, and training for radiographers and support staff.
Supervise junior colleagues, implement evidence-based practice policies, and maintain strict patient and staff safety standards.
Requirements
BSc degree in Diagnostic Radiography (or equivalent) with active HCPC registration and a relevant postgraduate qualification.
Minimum of three years' relevant experience operating Siemens MRI scanners and performing complex MRI procedures.
Proven leadership or team management experience as an MR Lead or Senior Radiographer within the NHS or UK private healthcare sector.
