Contract Type: Permanent, Part-Time (15 hours per week, Thursday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is proud to partner with a compassionate, community-focused funeralcare team in Bolton to recruit a dedicated Funeral Arranger.
In this meaningful part-time role, you will join a friendly team to help families say the perfect goodbye to loved ones. Providing high levels of empathy, discretion, and care, you will support clients through difficult times while ensuring the funeral home maintains a professional, welcoming, and safe environment.
Please note: All positions within Funeralcare can involve direct physical contact with the deceased as part of normal duties (such as preparation, transportation, personal care, and manual handling of coffins). Please carefully consider your comfort levels with these responsibilities before applying.
Client Support & Relationships: Build positive relationships with clients and the community, supporting them both in person and over the phone by arranging family visits and answering questions.
Care of the Deceased: Assist with the care, preparation, and presentation of the deceased (such as hair, make-up, and moving coffins for family viewings) with professionalism, dignity, and strict adherence to health and safety standards.
Branch Management: Ensure the funeral home—both inside and out—is always clean, safe, and welcoming, managing maintenance issues and occasionally working independently in branch.
Administration & IT: Use digital systems and devices to manage client documentation, update records, handle invoicing, and process basic calculations or cash handling accurately.
Experience: Previous experience in the funeral industry is not essential—full training and ongoing support will be provided.
Core Attributes: High levels of empathy, discretion, care, and a genuine passion for delivering great service.
Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills, confidence working with numbers and basic calculations, a keen eye for detail, and good IT literacy to use various tech devices and systems.
Physical Capability: The ability to carry out the physical elements of the role, including the manual handling of coffins (appropriate training and equipment will be provided).
