Theatre Practitioner - Scrub

Supportive Bridge Staffing & Recruitment is seeking a skilled Theatre Practitioner specializing in Scrub to join a leading private hospital facility in Leicester, UK. In this flexible bank role, you will deliver excellent perioperative scrub care while enjoying the freedom to select ad-hoc shifts that suit your schedule.

Working within modern laminar flow operating suites alongside top consultant surgeons, you will support a varied caseload of surgical procedures. This position offers a fantastic opportunity for an experienced perioperative nurse or Operating Department Practitioner to work autonomously within a supportive multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare the surgical environment and assist surgeons directly during surgical procedures, ensuring strict aseptic technique and safety protocols.

• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary theatre staff and ward teams to maintain continuity of patient care.

• Supervise, mentor, and support the ongoing clinical development of junior team members.

Requirements

• Active professional registration with either the NMC (Registered General Nurse) or HCPC (Operating Department Practitioner).

• Relevant post-registration clinical experience within a scrub theatre setting.

• Excellent interpersonal, verbal communication, and team-working skills with a flexible approach.
