Under the supervision of a qualified Occupational Therapist, you will play a crucial role in delivering structured activities, building one-to-one rapports, and empowering service users on their recovery journeys.

What You Will Be Doing

• Assist Occupational Therapists, Nurses, and other multidisciplinary team (MDT) members in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individual care plans.

• Deliver structured individual and group therapeutic interventions to measure progression and ensure clinical effectiveness.

• Build strong one-to-one relationships with service users to encourage participation, goal-setting, and access to appropriate services.

• Maintain accurate healthcare records and document detailed notes on service user progress.

Key Skills & Qualifications

• GCSE/O-Levels (grades A-C) or a relevant Level 2 NVQ.

• Previous experience working in a similar environment or within mental health care.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• A naturally compassionate, patient, and collaborative attitude.

Thornford Park is a 141-bed hospital set within 21 acres of Berkshire countryside, offering a seamless care pathway across medium/low secure services, PICUs, and rehabilitation flats. Easily accessible via Thatcham train station with a free shuttle service available, the site supports individuals with complex mental health needs, personality disorders, learning disabilities, and autism.
