Healthcare Assistant

Supportive Bridge Staffing & Recruitment is seeking a dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join the ward team at a prestigious private hospital in Leicester, UK. In this flexible bank position, you will work alongside registered nurses and consultant surgeons to provide exceptional pre- and post-operative care to surgical patients.

Working within a modern 28-bed inpatient environment, you will play a key role in ensuring patient comfort, safety, and wellbeing throughout their hospital stay. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to build clinical experience while delivering high-quality, compassionate care in a supportive setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist registered nursing staff in providing direct pre- and post-surgical patient care on the hospital ward.

• Perform basic administrative and clinical support duties to ensure smooth daily ward operations.

• Build positive rapport with patients to deliver personalized care and reassure them throughout their treatment.

Requirements

• NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Health & Social Care.

• Relevant prior experience working in an acute hospital or care home setting.

• Good computer database skills, clear telephone manner, and ability to follow instructions accurately.
